MapLab enjoys a well-deserved retirement after serving thousands of users for several years.

Active development and maintenance of MapLab has ended with version 2.2.1. This website is maintained here only for reference for those still using MapLab and for the posterity.

MapServer users looking for mapfile creation tools should try one of the following active projects: 1) Quantum GIS or 2) MapStorer.

Source Packages

These packages contain everything you need to get started. The MapLab release files also include a step-by-step tutorial, including a sample mapfile and data. Please make sure that you read the copyright and license terms and review the documentation before you get started.

Release Versions

IMPORTANT: at this time, users should use PHP versions 4.4.0 or <= 4.3.9 with MapLab - there is a known issue with some versions of PHP with MapLab.

ALSO: Version 2.2.1 corrects some copyright issues with the previous release. As a result of these changes, previous versions can no longer be downloaded. All users are encouraged to update to this version and to recreate any gmapfactory applications built with previous releases.
