The "Application Developer's Guide" needs to be completed. This will be the most challenging of the Chameleon 1.99 documents. All the material for the 1.0 version needs to be reviewed for relevancy in 1.99 and updated/removed accordingly. As well, any important technical information specific to 1.99 (or that was simply missed in the 1.0 version) needs to be added. Some such additions include: * Maturity Levels (bug 776) * Setting up index.php file (bug 525) * Legend Template and layer visibility (bug 811) Any further major additions to this document can be tracked in this bug, or you can cerate another bug and mention it here. This bug will be used to track the major tasks involved in completing this document. New bugs will be spawned off for each major task involved when that task comes up. Currently, the task list looks like: * Write initial draft (handled in this bug) * Review initial draft * Link appropriately with other 1.99 documents * Final edit * Final review
Changed target to 1.99 RC 1. While not all steps might be completed for RC 1, we need to get at least as far as a reviewed first draft.
Made a little assigning error when creating this bug. Added CC to compensate.
I think it is important to identify the main sections of the Application Developer's Guide. Since it is such a large beast. This will help in figureing out what "Chapter's" will be written for RC1, 1.99 final, and for 2.0.

I have committed to CVS the first draft (DocBook source in docs/xml/, html version in docs/html) of this document. (name = ApplicationDevelopersGuide.xml/html) I'll be making a separate bug to track the review of this document.
