I tried the top legend button (can't figure out why there are 2 by the way) and the result I get is kind of strange. Grid (http://www2.dmsolutions.ca/cgi-bin/mswms_gmap?) What are all those links about on the left? Doesn't have much meaning to me.
Dave, this legend is based on an (outdated, probably) html legend template. As this is the test template, I will not be taking any action on this. Please note that the test template is not considered to be a working template, it is pretty much always unstable and is used for testing only. If you can create a proper template and have a problem with this widget, then we can fix it. As it stands, I don't think that there is an actual bug here. To re-iterate, do not report problems with the test template (at least, as it stands from CVS). They will not be addressed. If you have a specific version of the test template that you have modified and you still can't get it to work, then report it as a bug and attach the test.html file (and any other files required to reproduce the problem).
This bug can be closed, since I have verfied that the configured test template for the legend was the problem, and that is is not an issue with chameleon it self. Also that this was an issue with 1.0.2 chameleon which will eventually no longer be suportted one chameleon 1.99 is released.
