Its hard to describe how to reproduce this because the problem is intermitent and unpredictable. You might be able to reproduce the problem by turning the ACT SST layer on and off and refreshing the map. I'm also not sure if this is a MapServer bug or a CWC2 bug so feel free to move this bug if necessary. The main thing is that it negatively affects the IOOS demo and it needs to be addressed. The problem is that colours (of points) don't render consistently with each map draw. Sometimes points that should be red look brown and blue points look grey etc. This application uses a context file and has WMS data coming from several servers. I will attach two images showing the points rendered in different colours. The context file can be downloaded from: http://www2.dmsolutions.ca/msapps/ioos/ioos_sst.xml
Created an attachment (id=18) [details] colours as they should appear (probably - impossible to tell for sure)
Created an attachment (id=19) [details] definitely wrong colours
Did you try setting image output format to PNG24?
Where would that happen in this case since all layers are WMS requests? Does the output image format have to be set as PNG24 on each server? Is there some way to request that format in the context file?
Your chameleon app also has an outputimage format, that's the one you need to change (and not each of the servers). I'll let the Chameleon experts point you to the exact way to control the output image format. I think that would be either in the cwc2.xml config file, or in the template.map.
The output image format is set in the 'cwc2.xml" file.
I have made the change to the cwc2.xml file and the problem appears to be fixed, but I will leave the bug open a little longer so I can test more rigorously.
I have not seen the incorrect colours since changing the image format to PNG24 so I'll mark this a fixed.
