Can't recover from a bad entry into the projection object properties

I opened the tutorial map. I created a new projection object and I added the
following parameter:

"init=epsg:42304". I applied the changes. Since the new object did not appear
into the object browser view, I made a reload. The following message was
displayed into the map view:

"The map could not be displayed because it is in an invalid state.". To be able
to edit the map again I had to open the map again.

The main point here it is:

If I made several changes without saving yet I lost everything.

The map can be saved when the preview is not shown, so it should not be
necessary to abandon
changes. From the current CVS version, there are some issues with the
javascript tree not being
refreshed, but these will be addressed and the current workaround is to
manually reload the
treeview frame.

The preview can be 'restarted' by clicking the icon with the eyeglasses in the
main toolbar. In my
tests, that recovered from the described problem.
