Description From 2004-11-11 06:58:44
We need to determine exactly which (non-widget) documents need to be included
in the 1.99 Final release. Bear in mind that the true *user* documentation
(e.g., user guide, tutorials, etc.) are going to be produced for Chameleon 2.0.
The goal of the 1.99 documentation is to update existing documents plus add any
new technical material that is absolutely necessary for completeness.

All of the following documents should have at least a first draft present in
1.99 RC 1.

* Chameleon 1.99 Installation Guide
* Application Developer's Guide
* CWC2 Service Instance
* Chameleon JavaScript API

I will create separate bugs for each of these documents, with content overviews.

If anyone thinks that we need any other complete documents, or has a particular
piece of content that they don't know which document it should go in, please
drop a comment here.

Set target to 1.99 RC 1.
------- Comment #2 From 2004-11-11 07:27:21 -------
Bug 57 refers to the need for a Chameleon Administrator's Guide for 1.99 (at
least a rough draft). So, we'll add that one to the list of documents for 1.99.
Jeff will be writing the draft for this document and we'll use the earlier bug
to track progress.

Made little assigning error when creating bug. Added CC to compensate.
------- Comment #4 From 2004-11-25 10:31:50 -------
Based on discussions on 2004/11/24, the Chameleon JavaScript API document will
be in a beta state as of the Final Release on 1.99. It will be there, but not
as "complete" as the other 1.99 docs. See Bug 848.
------- Comment #5 From 2004-11-25 10:34:07 -------
Cleared whiteboard
------- Comment #6 From 2004-12-18 11:49:19 -------
Reassigned to Paul.
------- Comment #7 From 2004-12-20 11:20:40 -------
I think the decision was made to go with the first list and new documents will
be added to point releases at a later date.
