Bart, this will be fixed by Mar 31st. Paul Bart van den Eijnden wrote: Hi list, I have just received some test results from a client of ours on a Chameleon application, and one of the things they mention the most is the following: -when zooming in with a box or panning and getting your mouse out of the map, when you come into the map again the box draws and the map pans until the mouse button is pressed again.
As of now the behaviour is that the tool stays active if you move the mouse outside of the map area, but it is 'frozen' and the current action will not resume until you move back inside. If you release the mouse button outside the map area, it will submit/process based on the 'frozen' state. The only widget that does not work like this is the Pan widget, and this is considered a bug to be fixed for 1.99 ... reassigning to Assefa for fixing the Pan bug.
updated version to 1.99
changing target to "-", since "1.99 beta release" is no longer valid, since it is to general. Paul and Darren should decide at which point during the beta release cycle this should be resolved.
this appears to work for the pan widget now in the same way that it works for the zoomin widget (for instance). Marking fixed.
In windows ie.6/firefox 0.9.2 both the zoomin and pan work the same way. where the user cannot click or release the tool when cursor is outside the map view. The user can only cause an action (release the tool from cursor) if they click within the map view. Set to verified for windows.
Verified on Fedora Core 2.
